Tell Us Your SASMI Story!

Every day, SASMI benefits help members through life’s challenges—from financial hardships to important health and family milestones. If SASMI has helped you, we’d love to hear your story. Submit a short video through the Member Portal for a chance to win up to $2,000.

The Video Testimonial Competition is open to active and retired SASMI members and will award these cash prizes:

• First Place: $2,000
• Second Place: $1,000
• Third Place: $500

How to Enter

It’s easy to enter. Using your phone or another recording device, create a short video describing:

• The SASMI benefit you used
• How it helped you
• What you’d like other members to know about the value of SASMI benefits

Then, log in to the SASMI Member Portal and:

• Open the Video Testimonial Competition Submission Form
• Complete all required fields
• Upload your video
• Review and accept the consent and release agreement

The team at SASMI will review all eligible entries and announce a winner early next year. The competition officially closes on November 30, so don’t delay!

Video Requirements

You can be as creative in your approach as you’d like, but we request videos to be no longer than 90 seconds in length. Other requirements are:

• Length: 30–90 seconds
• File formats: MP4, MOV, or AVI
• Maximum file size: 100 MB
• Submit your entry before the competition closes on November 30.

If you’ve had positive experiences with multiple SASMI benefits, feel free to submit more than one video. You must complete a new form for each video you submit.

What Makes a Winning Story?

Your story doesn’t need professional editing or production quality. What matters most is that it’s genuine and helpful to other members.

Entries will be evaluated based on:

• Creativity
• Clarity
• Authenticity
• Usefulness to other members
• Information about the SASMI benefit featured

Eligible SASMI Benefits

You may submit a story about any of the following SASMI benefits:

• Under/Unemployment Benefit
• HCRA
• Active HRA
• Sick Leave Benefit
• Welfare Benefit
• Maternity Benefit
• Annual Physical Benefit
• Benevolent Relief Benefit
• Travel Benefit
• Work Boots Benefit
• Severance Benefit

To enter, you must be a verified active or retired SASMI member and have personally used the benefit you discuss in your video.

What Happens Next?

Winning videos will be featured on SASMI.org, but all submitted videos/stories may be archived and used in future SASMI communications. Selected participants may even be invited to appear on a future episode of SASMI Sessions, our podcast series.

Contest Rules

Participation is limited to verified active and retired SASMI members. Entrants must have personally used the SASMI benefit described in their video. By submitting a video, members agree to the contest’s consent and release terms, including SASMI’s right to use submitted content for promotional and educational purposes. Prize winnings may be subject to applicable taxes. Terms and conditions apply.
